Navigating Eclipse Season
Full Moon Lunar Eclipse with Ketu in Leo Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra Thursday & Friday, March 13 & 14 CT
I have been struggling and almost didn't write this even though I am fully aware that I always find the perfect remedy when I move towards the light.
These planetary placements are incredibly intense for everyone and the way they are transiting my natal birth placements is particularly challenging.
Sometimes, I don't know if I can find the strength to look, and this has been one of those times. When this happens I am so grateful for my devotion, and self-trust; without it, I may have stayed under the covers all month!
Every time without fail, when I move in to pure love the universe meets me with such a wealth of life- giving abundance.
And even though I am still feeling the heaviness and intensity, I have gathered a few potent tools to help me face the energies of Eclipse season.
I am here to share them with you!
Some intense themes that are present during this Eclipse portal:
Venus retrograde In Pisces brings focus to relationships.
Mercury retrograde in Pisces begins on March 15, bringing focus to technology and communication.
Combusted Saturn is in the liminal space of Aquarius, putting the final touches on his work before moving into Pisces on March 29. Saturn will not return to Aquarius for around 30 years, so expect to feel this intensity for a bit.
Eclipse:
A Full Moon lunar eclipse with Ketu is an opportunity to manifest worldly goals of a spiritual nature.
The eclipse starts with the Moon in Leo and the Sun in Aquarius and ends with the Moon in Virgo and the Sun in Pisces.
The liminal space between signs adds an extra layer of sensitivity.
The Nakshatra that carries the moon between these two signs is Uttara Phalguni, whose special gift is balancing feminine and masculine energy as it bridges the masculine sign of Leo into the feminine sign of Virgo. The external manifestation of worldly goals requires masculine energy; sustaining them requires feminine.
Leo is the fifth sign of the Zodiac, where we find out what we really love and are passionate about, and Virgo, the sixth house, is what we are willing to put on the line for that.
This concept is demonstrated in a Vedic myth associated with Uttaraa Phalguni, highlighting the depth of love and devotion possible during this eclipse. It is a creation story in which an ocean of milk is being churned to harvest the Amrit of immortality. Both Gods and Demons agreed to cooperate on this critical task. The snake Vasuki was used as the churning rope pulled by the gods on one side and demons on the other. Vasuki lost focus, causing him to release his poison; this created a panic in which all the gods thought everything would be destroyed. Shiva immediately sprung into action and drank the poison to remove it, but some had already fallen onto the ground, so Nandi, the disciple of Shiva, also immediately sprang into action to get the poison Shiva missed. Everyone thought it would kill Nandi, but his purity and devotion saved him.
So what does this mean for us?
It's one of the most powerful positions we can hold: to give with pure love and receive abundance in return.
Here, we can gain the will to do the seemingly insurmountable tasks that we need to do to attain our goals.
The secret is in the purity of our devotion.
Pure devotion is life-giving.
Shiva didn't stop to wonder if he should absorb the poison, and Nandi never stopped to think about whether he was devoted enough to Shiva to help him. Nobody had to ask Shiva and Nandi to do this; they acted from pure devotion.
These selfless acts of love do not deplete the nervous system; they are life-giving, abundance manifesting power moves that are possible in the energy of this Nakshatra!
When you over give to the point of depletion, that is a different vibe, and it is not what I am talking about here.
As the eclipse approaches it is a good time to reflect on what you love so purely and deeply and what you are willing to do for that.
We want to magnify the possibility of more love, devotion, and abundance entering our lives.
Magnifying pure love shines light on shadow.
Navigating the Eclipse:
As we approach the eclipse, it's important to take care.
Remember, shadows are heavy during an eclipse, so it's best to stay in your own container where you create a secure atmosphere for yourself.
Be so gentle and loving with yourself.
If you need to be out, stay as covered as possible, especially your head, and try to keep to yourself as much as possible.
Eat light or fast.
Manifestation is magnified by up to 1000x, so be specific in your descriptions.
Keep pure love the focus for manifesting spiritual goals, and trust your intuition.
Use meditation, mantra, prayer, and whatever brings you closest to God.
Be alone or only with those who enhance and support you.
Have a fire ceremony to burn off what is no longer needed or what you are letting go
What is it you are being called to give, and how does the giving create nourishment and abundance for you?
Write it all down in your physical journal.
